{"id":88480,"date":"2025-07-22T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.success.com\/?p=88480"},"modified":"2025-07-07T13:02:35","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T18:02:35","slug":"lindsay-arnold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.success.com\/lindsay-arnold\/","title":{"rendered":"Day in the Life: Lindsay Arnold"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After dancing her way into America\u2019s living rooms on <em>So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> and then <em>Dancing with the Stars<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lindsayarnold.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lindsay Arnold\u2019s<\/a> next step came quite naturally. It was <em>even more<\/em> movement. After leaving the dance competition TV life behind, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.success.com\/how-to-run-a-successful-startup-business\/\">founded<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.movewithlinds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Movement Club<\/a>. The on-demand fitness platform and app are how Arnold is hoping to inspire everyone to fall in love with working out. And it\u2019s working out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.achieversallaccess.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.success.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/SUCCESS_CTA_r1@2x.png\" alt=\"SUCCESS+ Subscription offer\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<p>After an all-consuming, season-by-season schedule of very on and then very off,\u00a0 Arnold now has the elusive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.success.com\/importance-of-healthy-work-life-balance\/\">work-life balance<\/a> so many of us covet. \u201cMy life is much more consistently busy, meaning that there\u2019s no off period. It\u2019s constant, and it\u2019s something that I need to be very consistent with,\u201d Arnold says. \u201cBut I also feel like I mapped it in a way where I can have dedicated work time\u2026. Once you have kids, everything changes. I\u2019m so proud and grateful that I\u2019ve been able to build a career and a passion that I can make work with my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arnold gave us a rundown of what that balance looks like in a typical workday for her at home in Utah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-45-a-m-up-and-out\"><strong>5:45 A.M. \u2013 UP AND OUT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s no lingering for Arnold. Movement is immediate. \u201cWhen my alarm goes off, the first thing I do\u2026 is literally swing my feet out of bed\u2026. So I just stand up next to my bed and head right into my closet, put my workout set on and then head into my kitchen,\u201d she says. Her first nourishment of the day is the Just Ingredients Strawberry Limeade Pre-Workout drink, which she loves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-a-m-gym-sweat-plunge\"><strong>6 A.M. \u2013 GYM, SWEAT, PLUNGE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next up is her personal workout in her home gym. \u201cThe first thing that I do is hop on the Peloton for a 30-minute class. It\u2019s nice because your brain can just kind of wake up while your body\u2019s doing the work. Then\u2026 I get into my mat workout. I always do one of my own personal Movement Club workouts for my program. I\u2019m either following along with a video that I\u2019ve filmed or testing out a new workout\u2026. So, it\u2019s either a test and trial run for a new workout or a tried-and-true one\u2026. The mat workout is sculpting, with a little bit of weights or resistance bands sometimes.\u201d After that, Arnold sits in her outdoor sauna for 15-20 minutes before hopping into her cold plunge pool. \u201cI try to do three minutes. We have it set at 40 degrees\u2014and it\u2019s a shock\u2026. I feel like it\u2019s a perfect ending to a workout\u2026. And it just gives me the perfect boost to start my day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-a-m-rituals\"><strong>8 A.M. \u2013 RITUALS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The post-workout ritual she stands by\u2014drinking powdered nutritional supplement AG1 and taking Arrae Tone creatine gummies\u2014is another way Arnold stays focused and healthy.\u00a0 \u201cThen, I will start to make breakfast for the girls. [Arnold has two daughters, ages 4 and 2.] That\u2019s dedicated family time. I don\u2019t look at my phone. It is our time to connect before everything starts,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nbsp-9-a-m-clock-in\">&nbsp;<strong>9 A.M. \u2013 CLOCK IN<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI start checking all my emails, responding to messages, have Zoom meetings and create and edit content,\u201d she says of the 9 o\u2019clock hour. \u201cI film my morning routine so that I can post on both Instagram and TikTok. I have a content calendar, so at the start of the week, I take a look at my week and map out and gauge my schedule based off of what kind of content needs to be created.\u201d Some of her content ends up being organic, which might mean her daughters are in the background. \u201cWith two kids, every day looks different,\u201d she says.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-11-30-a-m-mom-mode\"><strong>11:30 A.M. \u2013 MOM MODE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>How genius is this parenting hack? \u201cAs I\u2019m feeding the girls lunch, I do their hair. It\u2019s the only way I can get it done because they\u2019re distracted and they sit still for five seconds,\u201d she says of her lunchtime style session with her daughters. \u201cEvery day is different, but from about 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., I\u2019m either carpooling to dance practice, gymnastics, swim lessons or preschool.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-p-m-movement-in-motion\"><strong>1 P.M. \u2013 MOVEMENT IN MOTION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While her younger daughter is taking her afternoon nap, Arnold gets down to business. \u201cThat\u2019s when I do a lot of my filming for my workout videos. I have a filming studio in my basement for The Movement Club. Or I\u2019ll do a live workout, which we offer within our program,\u201d she says of how she makes the most of that quiet time. \u201cThis is also when I have lunch. I am very protein-focused with my meals.\u201d Before she knows it, it\u2019s time to pick up her 4-year-old and then come home to finish some miscellaneous things from her day while prepping dinner\u2014proving that nobody multitasks like a working mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-p-m-dinner\"><strong>6 P.M. \u2013 DINNER<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Arnolds have dinner together at 6 p.m.. \u201cThat\u2019s typically when my husband comes home from work, and we are all hungry at that time. We all sit down at the table for dinner, but that\u2019s not to say that our children aren\u2019t running around the entire time,\u201d she admits. \u201cBut it\u2019s a nice time to just sit and eat and connect because it\u2019s the only time of day when we\u2019re all together. And this is when I\u2019ve put my phone away for the day, and I finish my workday mindset.\u201d After dinner is playtime, meaning games, dance parties, gymnastics or a little bit of everything. \u201cMy girls are very active, and they\u2019re also very girly. Then, we do bath time, get in our PJs, have story time and sometimes a song.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter I put the girls down, I will go take my shower and do my full skin care routine with an LED mask while I\u2019m sitting in bed. wp:paragraph -->\n<p>After dancing her way into America\u2019s living rooms on <em>So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> and then <em>Dancing with the Stars<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lindsayarnold.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lindsay Arnold\u2019s<\/a> next step came quite naturally. It was <em>even more<\/em> movement. After leaving the dance competition TV life behind, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.success.com\/how-to-run-a-successful-startup-business\/\">founded<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.movewithlinds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Movement Club<\/a>. The on-demand fitness platform and app are how Arnold is hoping to inspire everyone to fall in love with working out. And it\u2019s working out.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:html -->\n\n<!-- \/wp:html -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>After an all-consuming, season-by-season schedule of very on and then very off,\u00a0 Arnold now has the elusive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.success.com\/importance-of-healthy-work-life-balance\/\">work-life balance<\/a> so many of us covet. \u201cMy life is much more consistently busy, meaning that there\u2019s no off period. It\u2019s constant, and it\u2019s something that I need to be very consistent with,\u201d Arnold says. \u201cBut I also feel like I mapped it in a way where I can have dedicated work time\u2026. Once you have kids, everything changes. I\u2019m so proud and grateful that I\u2019ve been able to build a career and a passion that I can make work with my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Arnold gave us a rundown of what that balance looks like in a typical workday for her at home in Utah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-45-a-m-up-and-out\"><strong>5:45 A.M. \u2013 UP AND OUT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>There\u2019s no lingering for Arnold. Movement is immediate. \u201cWhen my alarm goes off, the first thing I do\u2026 is literally swing my feet out of bed\u2026. So I just stand up next to my bed and head right into my closet, put my workout set on and then head into my kitchen,\u201d she says. Her first nourishment of the day is the Just Ingredients Strawberry Limeade Pre-Workout drink, which she loves.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-a-m-gym-sweat-plunge\"><strong>6 A.M. \u2013 GYM, SWEAT, PLUNGE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Next up is her personal workout in her home gym. \u201cThe first thing that I do is hop on the Peloton for a 30-minute class. It\u2019s nice because your brain can just kind of wake up while your body\u2019s doing the work. Then\u2026 I get into my mat workout. I always do one of my own personal Movement Club workouts for my program. I\u2019m either following along with a video that I\u2019ve filmed or testing out a new workout\u2026. So, it\u2019s either a test and trial run for a new workout or a tried-and-true one\u2026. The mat workout is sculpting, with a little bit of weights or resistance bands sometimes.\u201d After that, Arnold sits in her outdoor sauna for 15-20 minutes before hopping into her cold plunge pool. \u201cI try to do three minutes. We have it set at 40 degrees\u2014and it\u2019s a shock\u2026. I feel like it\u2019s a perfect ending to a workout\u2026. And it just gives me the perfect boost to start my day.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-a-m-rituals\"><strong>8 A.M. \u2013 RITUALS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The post-workout ritual she stands by\u2014drinking powdered nutritional supplement AG1 and taking Arrae Tone creatine gummies\u2014is another way Arnold stays focused and healthy.\u00a0 \u201cThen, I will start to make breakfast for the girls. [Arnold has two daughters, ages 4 and 2.] That\u2019s dedicated family time. I don\u2019t look at my phone. It is our time to connect before everything starts,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nbsp-9-a-m-clock-in\">&nbsp;<strong>9 A.M. \u2013 CLOCK IN<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cI start checking all my emails, responding to messages, have Zoom meetings and create and edit content,\u201d she says of the 9 o\u2019clock hour. \u201cI film my morning routine so that I can post on both Instagram and TikTok. I have a content calendar, so at the start of the week, I take a look at my week and map out and gauge my schedule based off of what kind of content needs to be created.\u201d Some of her content ends up being organic, which might mean her daughters are in the background. \u201cWith two kids, every day looks different,\u201d she says.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-11-30-a-m-mom-mode\"><strong>11:30 A.M. \u2013 MOM MODE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>How genius is this parenting hack? \u201cAs I\u2019m feeding the girls lunch, I do their hair. It\u2019s the only way I can get it done because they\u2019re distracted and they sit still for five seconds,\u201d she says of her lunchtime style session with her daughters. \u201cEvery day is different, but from about 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., I\u2019m either carpooling to dance practice, gymnastics, swim lessons or preschool.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-p-m-movement-in-motion\"><strong>1 P.M. \u2013 MOVEMENT IN MOTION<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>While her younger daughter is taking her afternoon nap, Arnold gets down to business. \u201cThat\u2019s when I do a lot of my filming for my workout videos. I have a filming studio in my basement for The Movement Club. Or I\u2019ll do a live workout, which we offer within our program,\u201d she says of how she makes the most of that quiet time. \u201cThis is also when I have lunch. I am very protein-focused with my meals.\u201d Before she knows it, it\u2019s time to pick up her 4-year-old and then come home to finish some miscellaneous things from her day while prepping dinner\u2014proving that nobody multitasks like a working mother.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-p-m-dinner\"><strong>6 P.M. \u2013 DINNER<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Arnolds have dinner together at 6 p.m.. \u201cThat\u2019s typically when my husband comes home from work, and we are all hungry at that time. We all sit down at the table for dinner, but that\u2019s not to say that our children aren\u2019t running around the entire time,\u201d she admits. \u201cBut it\u2019s a nice time to just sit and eat and connect because it\u2019s the only time of day when we\u2019re all together. And this is when I\u2019ve put my phone away for the day, and I finish my workday mindset.\u201d After dinner is playtime, meaning games, dance parties, gymnastics or a little bit of everything. \u201cMy girls are very active, and they\u2019re also very girly. Then, we do bath time, get in our PJs, have story time and sometimes a song.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cAfter I put the girls down, I will go take my shower and do my full skin care routine with an LED mask while I\u2019m sitting in bed.
